Species: Cell body ovoid or cylindrical-ellipsoidal, becoming wider as getting aged, 8-14.5 μm long, 3.5-7.5 μm wide; papilla small, truncated; length of flagella nearly the same as that of cell body; chloroplast deep cup-shaped; stigma small, elliptical, located at anterior 1/3 of the cell; nucleus central (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
