Amoebida: Tubulina: Hartmannellidae
Saccamoeba clava
(Schaeffer, 1926)
| Family: Body monopodial; locomotion by slight forward bulging (Illustrated Guide, 1985). Genus: Limax amoebae with hyaline cap reduced to shallow crescent or absent in continuing locomotion,
though always seen on initiation of pseudopodium; advance often with non-eruptive slight antero-lateral
bulging; villous-bulb uroid with more or less rigid fine villi often present (Page, 1976).
 Species: Monopodal, 75-125 μm;
pseudopods, more or less eruptive; uroid, temporary, of gnarled filaments,
10-15 μm long; ectoplasm smooth;
nucleus spherical 14 μm with
endosome distinct 8 μm
 (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
