Cell body lanceolate or leaf-shaped, both ends pointed;
90 μm long;
a flattened band appears to be absent, but very large trichocysts line the buccal region;
two macronuclei with an intercalated micronucleus; two contractile vacuoles terminal;
mucocysts present between the kineties (Carey, 1992).
